San Juan, Puerto Rico – April 14, 2025 – The Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO), Eric Santiago Justiniano, announced the launch of a project to install solar panels on the rooftops of industrial buildings owned by this public corporation. The announcement was made during the Cogeneration Day event, held at the Sheraton Hotel, Convention District in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO) has completed the demolition of a property located in the municipality of Naguabo. This demolition marks the beginning of an ambitious project aimed at eliminating 33 hazardous properties across various locations in Puerto Rico.

In response to the possible damage caused by the passage of Storm Ernesto through Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO) shares a form to facilitate the identification and evaluation of damage to industrial properties, as well as to respond to requests for necessary emergency services.

PRIDCO estimates that the project will have an approximate construction cost of more than $200 million.

As a result of the atmospheric event that occurred yesterday afternoon in the Arecibo region, this morning the executive director of the Industrial Development Company ("PRIDCO"), Javier Bayón Torres, together with his work team, visited the Thermo King facilities and met with the general manager of said company, Marco Miranda.

After a 2021 full of challenges and transformations, the Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO) is “focused on promoting the expansion of current industries and the development of new strategic industries that contribute to the Puerto Rican economy for the future”, said the executive director of PRIDCO, Javier Bayón Torres.

The executive director of the Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO), Javier Bayón Torres, traveled to the Dominican Republic from October 4 to 6, to meet with directors of export free zones , industrial parks, national assets and companies, to create alliances with public and private entities in order to see Puerto Rico as an investment destination for companies from the neighboring island, and take note of what they have done to lease 100 % of its industrial parks.

During today's afternoon, several entities were processed some eviction orders that were already in progress. However, the evictions of all the properties of the Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO), are stopped internally.
